XML Powered External MP3 Progressive Audio Player |
This XML Powered Flash External Progressive FLV Video and MP3 Audio Player
includes the Flash version checker to insure a smooth user experience for users
that do not have the latest Flash Player.
The included source code in .FLA file format can be modified in the Flash 2004
authoring environment with the included source code.
A single external FLV or MP3 file is displayed within the player using the Flash
MX 2004 media controller for display.

This loads an external XML file for progressive mp3 or flv file streaming to be
played within the Flash 2004 MX Media Controller. The XML file holds a single
relative or full url to the file to be played and can be used as a local
or web-based MP3 / FLV Player.
We used the new ContextMenuItem class in Flash Player 7 to allow users access
to the Flash Player 7 settings and the about Macromedia links as well as a link
back to videospark.com or yoursite. We included a readme.txt file and the FLA
file for the player and sample iFrame code to easily add the Dynamic FLV Video
or MP3 Audio Player to your website.
There is a single version of the Dynamic Flash Progressive FLV Video & MP3
Audio Player is powered by a single XML file that the MP3 or FLV file to be
played is specified in as a url.
This can be used to preview FLV files locally before upload to insure
quality, etc.

The advantage to having this feature of streaming FLV files in Flash 2004 is
that you do not need Flash Communications server installed to view them, they
stream into the browser just like SWF files. You can see from the examples above
how easy it was to make video available online in Flash without any complicated
server side solutions, this of course taking into account that your are not
using any Digital Rights Management to protect your movies like Flash
Communications Server provides.
